Born on February 11, 1911 in Bedford, Indiana, Yank Terry (Lancelot Yank Terry) played for the Boston Red Sox for his entire 5 year career. Terry broke into the bigs on August 3, 1940 with the Boston Red Sox, and put up a 3.92 ERA in 85 innings pitched in 1942, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Yank Terry's best season was 1943, when he posted a 3.52 ERA and struck out 63 batters.
