Born on June 16, 1881 in Evart, Michigan, Wish Egan (Aloysius Jerome Egan) played for the Detroit Tigers and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 3 year career. Egan broke into the bigs on September 3, 1902 with the Detroit Tigers, and put up a 3.57 ERA in 171.1 innings pitched in 1905, his rookie year.
