Willie Belton (Willie Davis Belton) was born on December 12, 1948 in Greenville, South Carolina. After going to high school at Washington (Greenville, SC), Belton attended the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Belton made his professional debut in the NFL in 1971 with the Atlanta Falcons. He played for the St. Louis Cardinals and Atlanta Falcons over the course of his 4 year career.

Most people believe that 1971 was Willie Belton's best year, as he had 706 kick return yards.
