Doc Marshall (William Riddle Marshall) was born on September 22, 1875 in Butler, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on April 15, 1904 for the Philadelphia Phillies. In 1906, his rookie year, he hit .227 with 0 home runs and 17 RBI. Marshall played for the Philadelphia Phillies, New York Giants, Boston Beaneaters, St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Cubs and Brooklyn Superbas over the course of his 5 year career.
