Born on July 6, 1916 in Maywood, Illinois, Bill Donovan (Willard Earl Donovan) played for the Boston Braves for his entire 2 year career. Donovan broke into the bigs on April 19, 1942 with the Boston Braves, and put up a 3.43 ERA in 89.1 innings pitched in 1942, his rookie year.
