Who Really Got the Concussion? A Hostile Hochuli Editorial

We have all heard what happened, but if you have not, here is the breakdown from ESPN.com:

“The Dolphins had the ball at the Texans' 25 on Sunday when Green gave the ball to Ted Ginn Jr. The rookie fumbled, then picked the ball up and reversed field as the defense chased him.

Texans defensive tackle Travis Johnson hit Green in the head with his knee before Ginn was tackled by Anthony Weaver. After the play ended, Johnson stood over Green and taunted him, drawing a 15-yard penalty.”

Johnson didn’t knee him on purpose. Green went for a cut block to help his team, which is a normal thing for QBs. I mean, would you as a QB want to try and block a 320 lb D-Lineman? What it doesn’t say is that there is some discussion on whether or not the hit by Green was legal.
I don’t care. I don’t care if it was legal or not, because Johnson showed just how much class he had when he taunted the unconscious Green.

After the game when the media came into the locker room, Johnson called them over and ranted about Green:

"The bottom line is, it was a malicious hit. It was uncalled for, Johnson said. "He's like the scarecrow. He wants to get courage while I wasn't looking, and hit me in my knee instead of trying to hit me in my head. God don't like ugly…My knee ain't never hurt like it hurt today,

Johnson said. "If you want to hit me, hit me in my head, hit me in my chest, don't hit me in my knee. I'm trying to eat just like everybody else. So, to hit me like that, that showed me what type of man he was.'

The audacity that he would show when a man lies on the ground unconscious. You don’t know what is happening. Especially when two weeks ago:

“It was the second serious injury in the last two games at Reliant Stadium. Two weeks ago, Houston defensive tackle Cedric Killings was taken off the field on a stretcher after getting hit on a special teams play against Indianapolis. Killings broke a vertebrae in his neck and was hospitalized for five days”

Per Webmd.com Concussions can cause:

Loss of consciousness after any trauma to the head Confusion

Headache

Nausea or vomiting Blurred vision

Loss of short-term memory (you may not remember the actual injury and some time before and after the impact)

Perseverating (repeating the same thing over and over, despite being told the answer each time, for example, "Was I in an accident?")

Looks like Travis Johnson may have gotten the concussion himself seeing as how he forgot how to act with class.

Johnson’s family must be really proud. I hope he is fined and his team suspends him for the absolute lack of respect for a guy who has gone to Hawaii twice and has amassed over 27,000 yards in his career. Bad form, Travis, bad form.
