Born on September 17, 1893 in Sycamore, Alabama, Whitey Glazner (Charles Franklin Glazner) played for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 5 year career. Glazner broke into the bigs on September 26, 1920 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and put up a 2.77 ERA in 234 innings pitched in 1921, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Whitey Glazner's best season was 1921, when he posted a 2.77 ERA, won 14 games and struck out 88 batters.
