Wes Phillips (Wesley Alan Phillips) was born on August 1, 1953 in Atlanta, Georgia. After going to high school at Cross Keys (Atlanta, GA), Phillips attended Lenoir-Rhyne College and Savannah State University. Phillips made his professional debut in the NFL in 1979 with the Houston Oilers. He played for the Houston Oilers for his entire 1 year career.
