Born on December 19, 1874 in Senecaville, Ohio, Welcome Gaston (Welcome Thornburg Gaston) played for the Brooklyn Bridegrooms and Brooklyn Superbas over the course of his 2 year career. Gaston broke into the bigs on October 6, 1898 with the Brooklyn Bridegrooms.
