Weegie Thompson (Willis Hope Thompson) was born on March 21, 1961 in Pensacola, Florida. After going to high school at Midlothian (VA), Thompson attended Florida State University. Thompson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1984 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers for his entire 6 year career.
Most people believe that 1986 was Weegie Thompson's best year, as he caught 5 TD passes.
