Wayne Ambler (Wayne Harper Ambler) was born on November 8, 1915 in Abington, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on June 4, 1937 for the Philadelphia Athletics. In 1937, his rookie year, he hit .216 with 0 home runs and 11 RBI. Ambler played for the Philadelphia Athletics for his entire 3 year career.
