Walton Cruise (Walton Edwin Cruise) was born on May 6, 1890 in Childersburg, Alabama. He made his Major League debut on April 14, 1914 for the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1914, his rookie year, he hit .227 with 4 home runs and 28 RBI. Cruise played for the St. Louis Cardinals and Boston Braves over the course of his 9 year career.

Most people believe that Walton Cruise's best season was 1917, when he hit for a .295 average and knocked in 59 runs.
