Walt Sechrist (Walter F. Sechrist) was born on September 16, 1896 in Etna Green, Indiana. . Sechrist made his professional debut in the APFA in 1920 with the Hammond Pros. He played in the APFA for 1 year, playing for the Hammond Pros the entire time. Sechrist also played in the NFL for 4 years, playing for the Louisville Colonels, Frankford Yellow Jackets, Akron Pros and Hammond Pros over the course of his 4 year NFL career.
