Walt Koppisch (Walter Frederic Koppisch) was born on June 6, 1901 in Pendleton, New York. After going to high school at Masten Park (Buffalo, NY), Koppisch attended Columbia University. Koppisch made his professional debut in the NFL in 1925 with the Buffalo Bisons. He played for the New York Giants and Buffalo Bisons over the course of his 2 year career.
