Walt Goldsby (Walton Hugh Goldsby) was born on December 31, 1861 in Marion, Louisiana. He made his Major League debut on May 28, 1884 for the Washington Nationals. In 1888, his rookie year, he hit .236 with 0 home runs and 14 RBI. Goldsby played for the Washington Nationals, St. Louis Browns, Richmond Virginias, Washington Senators and Baltimore Orioles over the course of his 3 year career.
