Wally Niemann (Walter Albright Niemann) was born on April 21, 1894 in Hermansville, Michigan. After going to high school at Hermansville (MI), Niemann attended the University of Michigan. Niemann made his professional debut in the NFL in 1922 with the Green Bay Packers. He played for the Green Bay Packers for his entire 3 year career.
