Wally Mayer (Walter A. Mayer) was born on July 8, 1890 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on September 28, 1911 for the Chicago White Sox. Mayer played for the Chicago White Sox, Boston Red Sox and St. Louis Browns over the course of his 7 year career.
