Walker's Rants after a holiday weekend

Thanksgiving was great, had plenty of turkey and all of that good stuff.  Now I’m looking forward to Christmas and a longer vacation.  More importantly I’m looking forward to Walker’s Rants.  So let me not disappoint myself.  Walker’s Rants are a go!

Damnit I was an Eagles fan for 3 and a half quarters…

Neither of the top 2 ranked teams will play in the nat'l title...really...WVU has pittsburgh...you're picking that upset?

As far as McNabbs fate...i'm on the fence...

Personally, I have no issue with him staying...Reid just doesn't call his game anymore...its weird...If the eagles called the exact same game w/ a healthy McNabb as they did w/ feeley the would have had the same shot (or maybe won)....i just don't understand why reid airs it out with McNabb (who's biggest fault, perhaps, is accuracy). My theory is this...if the eagles lose 8 games with games left to play, McNabb will be gone and Kolb will get a start in 2007...and probably being the guy in 2008...if the eagles make a run, depending on how things play out, McNabb will be back...unless its feeley who makes the run...

Keep in mind, the eagles started Garcia last year so that their wouldn't be a QB controversey the following year...whoooops!

If the eagles proved anything this sunday...its that anyone can win on any given sunday...

I'm gonna try to guess at your 8 QBs: Brady, Manning (peyton!), Favre, Romo, Hasselbeck, Brees, Young, Roethlisberger...i'm on the fence about Hasselbeck and Young...

But what about Bulger, Cutler (who i don't like), Kitna (who's played well), the new derek anderson and carson palmer (who's been sub-par...but still)...

there's really only 4 elite QBs...Brady, Manning, Favre and Romo (ugh)...but really, if you think about it, are there ever (in a given season) any more than that...maybe 5 or 6...but elite QBs... You need a good QB to win, not a great one...Roethlisberger, Dilfer and even a young Brady all have/had one thing in common - they took care of the ball

Roth is not a great QB, but he is ahead of a Dilfer. He can win a game and can go downfield with his legs and his arm. I am calling that that theyhave a close one and get jumped and Mizzou wont make it.
