Its getting cold outside and that means two things. Football season is getting good with the playoffs looming, and Bowl bids hanging in the balance. It also means, hoops season is gearing up, and judging from the results on the colligate level this is going to be a wild season. Its Walkers rants sixth edition let’s get it started.

How does Favre and Rogers get hurt in one game, and it’s the old man Favre who is okay to play for the next week? Gotta love a warrior like that…

I hate to say it, but there were times on Sunday where Jason Campbell did look like Doug Williams when he dropped back to pass.

Good work with the Favre spelling! Favre always plays. He holds a record for consecutive starts at QB, or is approaching it, or something like that.

Isn't Favre (slowly) closing in on Elway's record of 148 wins? I know he was on 130 at the start of last season, so he should be on about 137 now? Is that right?

I'd like to see Brett play one more year. With such a young team they could make a solid run at the Super Bowl next year with a year of experience under their belt. They have lost many close games this year. Maybe they could add some players to and make one last push for the Super Bowl for Favre. Its not like he is having a bad year.

Agreed. He has been a bit inconsistent, but whenever I have looked at NFL.com for updates in the middle of matches, I have always seen Favre up the top in passing yards. Our problem this year has been the defense, our offense has been adequate-good.

That sounds about right Alex. With the talent he has and the sheer amount of games Favre has played, there arent many passing records that he is coming up on, or at least in the top 2-5. Including TDs and picks
