Born on March 15, 1975 in Havana, Cuba, Vladimir Nunez (Vladimir (Zarabaza) Nunez) played for the Arizona Diamondbacks, Florida Marlins and Colorado Rockies over the course of his 7 year career. Nunez broke into the bigs on September 11, 1998 with the Arizona Diamondbacks, and put up a 4.06 ERA in 108.2 innings pitched in 1999, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Vladimir Nunez's best season was 2002, when he posted a 3.41 ERA, notched 20 saves and struck out 73 batters.
