Vince Young Gets Benched

Tennessee Titans head coach, Jeff Fisher has laid down the law on Vince Young. It seems as though Young has violated an unspecified team rule. Hence, he has been benched from the Titans pre-season opener.
More than likely, this is in response to the Pacman Jones fiasco. As many know, Pacman has been suspended for the entire 2007 NFL season for his off the field conduct. The question will always be asked: Would things have ended differently for Pacman, had he been forced to obey the law and team rules from day one?
Young is the heart and soul of the Titans franchise. Thus, it is good that Fisher is making sure his team's foundation is going to be on the straight and narrow. In addition, we are talking about a pre-season game here. At most, Young would only play a series or two. The risk of injury is also very high.
Hopefully, Young learns his lesson and does not pout. If he does the latter, the Titans season, already on the rocks, may quickly crash and burn. This will be truly sad, for the Titans are an up and coming team.
