Vin Campbell (Arthur Vincent Campbell) was born on January 30, 1888 in St. Louis, Missouri. He made his Major League debut on June 6, 1908 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1910, his rookie year, he hit .326 with 4 home runs and 21 RBI. Campbell played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Boston Braves and Newark Peppers over the course of his 5 year career.

There is some disagreement on what was Vin Campbell's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1912, when he hit for a .296 average. However, others believe that it was 1914, when he stole 26 bases and hit for a .318 average.
