Born on October 2, 1976 in San Pedro de Macoris, Macoris (Dominican Republic), Victor Santos (Victor Irving Santos) played for the Detroit Tigers, Colorado Rockies, Texas Rangers, Milwaukee Brewers and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 6 year career. Santos broke into the bigs on April 9, 2001 with the Detroit Tigers, and put up a 3.30 ERA in 76.1 innings pitched in 2001, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Victor Santos's best season was 2004, when he posted a 4.97 ERA, won 11 games and struck out 115 batters.
