It's been a long time since I have written on here but the situation with Vick merited some print.
Adam "Pacman" Jones, albeit has been arrested many times, as of April was not convicted of a crime. He was suspended for the entire 2007 season.
Michael Vick, "star" quarterback of the Atlanta Falcons, under a federal indictment that carries up to 6 years of prison, is allowed to continue to play? What do we think the reason is. Heck we know what the reason is. M-O-N-E-Y.
It's what makes the world, and especially the world of sports, go around. Nobody outside of Tennessee knows anything about Pacman Jones, so we can't have him on the field tainting the great game of football. But Michael Vick, jersey sales, covers of video games, highlight reels, all of the things he is. Now when he gets in trouble, we "let the legal system take it's course".
I love the game of football, but isn't it amazing that the more money you make for the league, all of a sudden the "legal system can run it's course"? I guess the legal system doesn't work for little known players like Pacman Jones. It just isn't right.

THERE ARE 10 SEPARATE LEGAL INCIDENTS INVOLVING JONES.
10!
Vick may have spread herpes, and left some weed in his water bottle, but the giant canine atrocity is the first indictment for the man. Never been on probation. Is it horrible? Yes. Is it completely different? Absolutely.
