Vic Purvis (James Victor Purvis) was born on November 17, 1943 in Bandon, Mississippi. After going to high school at Puckett (MS), Purvis attended the University of Southern Mississippi. Purvis made his professional debut in the AFL in 1966 with the Boston Patriots. He played for the Boston Patriots for his entire 2 year career.
Most people believe that 1966 was Vic Purvis's best year.
