Vern Vanoy (Vernon Vanoy) was born on December 31, 1948 in Kansas City, Missouri. After going to high school at Lincoln (Kansas City, KS), Vanoy attended the University of Kansas. Vanoy made his professional debut in the NFL in 1971 with the New York Giants. He played for the Houston Oilers, Green Bay Packers and New York Giants over the course of his 3 year career.
