Vern Huffman (Richard Vernon Huffman) was born on December 18, 1914 in Moreland, Indiana. After going to high school at New Castle (IN), Huffman attended Indiana University. Huffman made his professional debut in the NFL in 1937 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 2 year career.
Most people believe that 1938 was Vern Huffman's best year.
