Verdi Boyer (Verdi E. Boyer, Jr.) was born on September 2, 1911 in San Francisco, California. After going to high school at Huntington Park (Los Angeles, CA), Boyer attended the University of California - Los Angeles. Boyer made his professional debut in the NFL in 1936 with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He played for the Brooklyn Dodgers for his entire 1 year career.
