Tuffy Thompson (Clarence Leonard Thompson) was born on September 28, 1914 in Montevideo, Minnesota. Thompson attended the University of Minnesota. Thompson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1937 with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He played for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Green Bay Packers over the course of his 3 year career.

Most people believe that 1937 was Tuffy Thompson's best year.
