Tony Reed (Tony Wayne Reed) was born on March 30, 1955 in San Francisco, California. After going to high school at Chofu (Tokyo, Japan), Reed attended Antelope Valley JC and the University of Colorado. Reed made his professional debut in the NFL in 1977 with the Kansas City Chiefs. He played for the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos over the course of his 5 year career.
Most people believe that 1978 was Tony Reed's best year, as he ran for 1053 yards, ran in 5 TDs, ran for an average of 5.1 yards per carry and hauled in 48 receptions.
