Tony Leonard (Anthony Leonard) was born on February 28, 1953 in Richmond, Virginia. After going to high school at Walker (Richmond, VA), Leonard attended Virginia Union University. Leonard made his professional debut in the NFL in 1976 with the San Francisco 49ers. He played for the San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Lions over the course of his 4 year career.
Most people believe that 1976 was Tony Leonard's best year, as he ran back a punt for a touchdown and had 553 kick return yards.
