Tony Arena (Anthony Gerald Arena) was born on July 2, 1918 in Detroit, Michigan. After going to high school at Northwestern (Detroit, MI), Arena attended Michigan State University. Arena made his professional debut in the NFL in 1942 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 1 year career.
