Tommy Vardell (Thomas Arthur Vardell) was born on February 20, 1969 in El Cajon, California. After going to high school at Granite Hills (El Cajon, CA), Vardell attended Stanford University. Vardell made his professional debut in the NFL in 1992 with the Cleveland Browns. He played for the Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions and San Francisco 49ers over the course of his 9 year career.

Most people believe that 1993 was Tommy Vardell's best year, as he ran for 644 yards.
