Tommy Kalmanir (Thomas Kalmanir) was born on March 30, 1926 in Jerome, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Conemaugh (Davidsville, PA), Kalmanir attended the University of Nevada-Reno and the University of Pittsburgh. Kalmanir made his professional debut in the NFL in 1949 with the Los Angeles Rams. He played for the Los Angeles Rams and Baltimore Colts over the course of his 4 year career.
Most people believe that 1949 was Tommy Kalmanir's best year, as he ran back a punt for a touchdown and had 403 kick return yards.
