Tommy Dawkins (Tommy Earl Dawkins) was born on May 8, 1965 in Lexington, North Carolina. After going to high school at Lexington (NC), Dawkins attended Appalachian State University and Lees-McRae College. Dawkins made his professional debut in the NFL in 1987 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers for his entire 1 year career.
