Tom McBride (Thomas Raymond McBride) was born on November 2, 1914 in Bonham, Texas. He made his Major League debut on April 23, 1943 for the Boston Red Sox. In 1944, his rookie year, he hit .245 with 0 home runs and 24 RBI. McBride played for the Boston Red Sox and Washington Senators over the course of his 6 year career.

Most people believe that Tom McBride's best season was 1945, when he hit for a .305 average.
