Tom Keating (Thomas Arthur Keating) was born on September 2, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. After going to high school at St. Mel (Chicago, IL), Keating attended the University of Michigan. Keating made his professional debut in the AFL in 1964 with the Buffalo Bills. He played in the AFL for 5 years, playing for the Oakland Raiders and Buffalo Bills over the course of his 5 year AFL career.Keating also played in the NFL for 6 years, playing for the Oakland Raiders, Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers over the course of his 6 year NFL career.
Most people believe that 1974 was Tom Keating's best year, as he recovered 3 opponents fumbles.
