Tom Forster (Thomas W. Forster) was born on May 1, 1859 in New York, New York. He made his Major League debut on August 4, 1882 for the Detroit Wolverines. In 1885, his rookie year, he hit .221 with 0 home runs and 18 RBI. Forster played for the Detroit Wolverines, Pittsburgh Pirates and New York Metropolitans over the course of his 4 year career.
