Born on June 9, 1961 in Ontario, Oregon, Tom Edens (Thomas Patrick Edens) played for the New York Mets, Milwaukee Brewers, Minnesota Twins, Houston Astros, Philadelphia Phillies and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 7 year career. Edens broke into the bigs on June 2, 1987 with the New York Mets, and put up a 4.45 ERA in 89 innings pitched in 1990, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Tom Edens's best season was 1992, when he posted a 2.83 ERA and struck out 57 batters.
