Tom Dowse (Thomas Joseph Dowse) was born on August 12, 1866 in Mohill, Ireland. He made his Major League debut on April 21, 1890 for the Cleveland Spiders. In 1890, his rookie year, he hit .208 with 0 home runs and 9 RBI. Dowse played for the Cleveland Spiders, Columbus Colts, Washington Senators, Philadelphia Phillies, Louisville Colonels and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 3 year career.
