Tom Day (Thomas Frederick Day) was born on August 20, 1935 in Washington, District Of Columbia. After going to high school at Phelps Vocational (Washington, DC), Day attended North Carolina A&T State University. Day made his professional debut in the NFL in 1960 with the St. Louis Cardinals. He played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the St. Louis Cardinals the entire time. Day also played in the AFL for 8 years, playing for the Buffalo Bills and San Diego Chargers over the course of his 8 year AFL career.
Most people believe that 1965 was Tom Day's best year.
