Born on August 31, 1957 in Walnut Creek, California, Tom Candiotti (Thomas Caesar Candiotti) played for the Milwaukee Brewers, Cleveland Indians, Toronto Blue Jays, Los Angeles Dodgers and Oakland Athletics over the course of his 16 year career. Candiotti broke into the bigs on August 8, 1983 with the Milwaukee Brewers, and put up a 3.23 ERA in 55.2 innings pitched in 1983, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Tom Candiotti's best season was 1991, when he posted a 2.65 ERA, won 13 games and struck out 167 batters.
