[edit] Biography

Born on May 20, 1965 in Sunnyside, Washington, Todd Stottlemyre (Todd Vernon Stottlemyre) played for the Toronto Blue Jays, Oakland Athletics, St. Louis Cardinals, Texas Rangers and Arizona Diamondbacks over the course of his 14 year career. Stottlemyre broke into the bigs on April 6, 1988 with the Toronto Blue Jays, and put up a 5.69 ERA in 98 innings pitched in 1988, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Todd Stottlemyre's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1998, when he posted a 3.74 ERA, won 14 games and struck out 204 batters. However, others believe that it was 1995, when he posted a 4.55 ERA, won 14 games and struck out 205 batters.
