Tim Cofield (Timmy Lee Cofield) was born on May 18, 1963 in Murfreesboro, North Carolina. After going to high school at Murfreesboro (NC), Cofield attended Elizabeth city State University. Cofield made his professional debut in the NFL in 1986 with the Kansas City Chiefs. He played for the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets over the course of his 4 year career.
Most people believe that 1986 was Tim Cofield's best year, as he recorded 5 sacks.
