Tom Carey (Thomas Francis Aloysius Carey) was born on October 11, 1906 in Hoboken, New Jersey. He made his Major League debut on July 19, 1935 for the St. Louis Browns. In 1935, his rookie year, he hit .291 with 0 home runs and 42 RBI. Carey played for the St. Louis Browns and Boston Red Sox over the course of his 8 year career.

Most people believe that Tom Carey's best season was 1936, when he knocked in 57 runs.
