To all those Cats fans out there who thought we were going to have a good showing this year; You were wrong.

To all those Cats fans out there who actually picked us to win against Purdue; We were wrong.

To all those Cats fans out there who now think that maybe next year is our year; No way in hell.

From the moment that this season actually ended on Jan 1st, 2007, it was over. Playing like a team was over. Playing with heart, believing in your coach, sharing the ball…senior leadership. It was all over.

Yesterday just proved that fact. Playing a Purdue team that tallied only 9 wins in the 05-06 season, the Cats just stunk. The team with more athletic talent, more height, more skill, well they lost the turnover battle by a ridiculous margin: 17-8. That would lose you the game right there, but on top of that, they were out rebounded 17-7 on the offensive boards. In fact, it just looked bad.

Purdue just wanted it more. They played with heart, they played with guts, they played with determination. And even though they should have lost the game on paper, they said “hell no”. Purdue, that is a team with motivation, and although they won’t beat Florida, it won’t matter, because at least you know that they are giving it 100 percent.

This game was lost before it began. The game was lost a long long time ago. The season was over on Jan 1st and don’t even try to tell me otherwise.

at least you made the tournament. How about trying to follow the University of Minnesota Team that would have been a bubble team for a 3rd tier post season tournament

I'd be suprised if you allowed Minnesota to play in the DII NIT (if it exists, or were to) that they'd get anything better than a 10 seed. Thats how bad they were

Actually, on paper Purdue was the better team, albeit slightly. More talented? Maybe not. But based on this season's numbers, Purdue should have actually been favorited.

Hey, Vassar (my soon-to-be alma mater) won the D-III ECAC this year... that's something! And our football team has been undefeated since 1863!
