The NFL Hot Seat

Other than the winless Rams, and Dolphins, there is a few other guys on the NFL hot seat, and with the NFL season already halfway over, they need to get their act together, and SOON!!!
The New York Jets head coach, Eric Mangini, is one of those guys. Yesterday, the Jets benched starting QB, Chad Pennington, but it may have been too little, too late. Kellen Clemens will start for NY on Sunday against the 'Skins. The Jets have a tough remaining schedule (WAS, bye week, PITT, DAL, MIA, CLE, NE, TEN, and KC), none of those games are guaranteed wins, and with an inexperienced QB, the Jets are endangered of going 0-16. The sad thing is that the Jets aren't even last place in their division (Miami is winless). If the Pats weren't in the AFC East, then the AFCE would be, by far, the worst division in the NFL. Mangini really needs to come up with a genius plan if he's gonna pull this one off.
If the Oakland Raiders lose this sunday to the Houston Texans, then Daunte Culpepper could lose his job to rookie, JaMarcus Russell. Culpepper's black and silver Raiders are 2-5, and once again are last place in the AFC West. The Raiders know they are in "rebuilding" mode so that will be the reasoning in giving Russell some playing time. Culpepper hasn't been playing what you would exactly call terrible football, but Oakland is on a 3 game losing streak, and it doesn't look as if they will improve much, so why not let Russell get in some experience for next year?
McNabb is playing for his future. If he doesnt play well this year, then there is certainly a possibility of McNabb getting traded. McNabb has been very inconsistent recently, and has been banged up a little (no surprise here). The Eagles are one game under .500 (3-4), and they are playing in the hardest division in the NFL. The last place Eagles need to pick up the pace if they expect to catch up to the Cowboys, Redskins, and the red-hot Giants. Philly's remaining schedule doesn't look all that favorable, either, they play Dallas twice, WAS, NE, SEA, NYG. McNabb's numbers have actually been pretty decent, but bad luck lost them a game or two. But, whether it's his fault or not, the blame for the Eagles losses will fall on McNabb, and it appears as though many Philly fans want him out of there.
The Falcons are deffinitely on the hot seat. Both starting QB Joey Harrington, and first year head coach, Bobby Pettrino. Bobby made a huge mistake when he traded away backup QB Matt Schaub this offseason. And it has now came back to haunt him after the Michael Vick incident, and with Harrington struggling. The Atlanta Passing offense is ranked 20th in the NFL, and their overall Offense is 25th. Harrington doesn't really have any decent receivers, and Atlanta may actually be stuck with Harrington as there starter with Leftwich too beat up, and injury prone. The Falcons season is over, it was over once Vick was caught early in the offseason.
