Ted Wegert (Theodore Addison Wegert) was born on April 17, 1932 in Riverhead, New York. After going to high school at Riverhead (Long Island, NY), Wegert attended none. Wegert made his professional debut in the NFL in 1955 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played in the NFL for 2 years, playing for the Philadelphia Eagles the entire time. Wegert also played in the AFL for 1 year, playing for the New York Titans the entire time.
Most people believe that 1960 was Ted Wegert's best year.
