Ted Drews (Theodore Williams Drews) was born on December 15, 1902 in Chicago, Illinois. After going to high school at St. Albans (Washington, DC), Drews attended Princeton University. Drews made his professional debut in the AFLG in 1926 with the Brooklyn Horsemen. He played in the AFLG for 1 year, playing for the Brooklyn Horsemen the entire time. Drews also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Chicago Bears the entire time.
