Born on March 27, 1910 in Luxor, Pennsylvania, Steve Sundra (Stephen Richard Sundra) played for the New York Yankees, Washington Senators and St. Louis Browns over the course of his 9 year career. Sundra broke into the bigs on April 17, 1936 with the New York Yankees, and put up a 4.80 ERA in 93.2 innings pitched in 1938, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Steve Sundra's best season was 1943, when he posted a 3.25 ERA and won 15 games.
